Effective January 1, 2025, the amount of the eco-fee (WEEE), which is included in the price of our electrical and electronic devices, will be revised. This change results from a government requirement to strengthen funding for the collection, recycling, and recovery of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
What is the eco-contribution?
The eco-fee is a mandatory contribution added to the retail price of our products. It is imposed by the government and helps to:
- Fund recycling: Collect, process, and recover end-of-life devices.
- Reduce environmental impact: Preserve natural resources and limit pollution.
Total price = Product price + Eco-contribution.
This amount is clearly indicated on your invoice and is paid in full to an accredited recycling organization responsible for managing these operations.
How to Recycle Your Old Appliance with FrigeluX?
When your new appliance is delivered, FrigeluX offers to take back your old appliance for free*. To take advantage of this service, simply fill out the “Comments” section when placing your order on our website, specifying that you’d like your old appliance taken back. The collected appliances are sent to an eco-organization to be recycled or repurposed, thereby reducing their environmental impact.
